Who we are, and why now.

We exist to keep UVA Men's Lacrosse a national championship program — funded independently, led by those who built it, and powered by the community that loves it.

Why Now

College athletics has changed. Programs like Virginia Lacrosse must build their own sustainable future.

Under the new revenue-sharing model, football and basketball now operate under one system — leaving programs like Virginia Men's Lacrosse to chart their own path. Athletic departments across the country are scrutinizing sport-by-sport budgets.

Other programs are adding scholarships and investing heavily. We cannot stand still. The window to act is now — and the strength of the Virginia Lacrosse community is exactly what this moment calls for.

The Virginia Lacrosse Legacy Foundation provides strategic funding for scholarships, coaching, and operations — building an independent, sustainable model that keeps UVA competing at the very highest level.

We are alumni, parents, and fans. We are 100% focused on UVA Men's Lacrosse — nothing else. We are volunteers: every dollar raised goes directly to support the program. Our Advisory Board brings the wisdom and credibility of those who built this program's legacy. And because we are a registered 501(c)(3), every contribution is fully tax deductible.

What we are not

The Foundation is not an NIL collective. While NIL plays a role in modern college athletics, we focus on long-term program sustainability, community engagement, and legacy preservation.
